Yeni?ehir is a municipality and district governorate in greater Mersin, Turkey.Mersin is one of 16 metropolitan centers of Turkey which have more than one municipality within city borders. Mersin has four intercity municipalities in addition of Greater Mersin (buyuk?ehir) municipality. Yeni?ehir is between Akdeniz (east) and Mezitli (west) municipalities both of which are intercity municipalities of Mersin. In the east Yeni?ehir is bounded by Muftu river and in the south by Mediterranean sea. Yeni?ehir is mostly devoted to residences. All along sea side, there is a park (more than 6 km.long) which provides a excursion area to residents. The district is considered to be one of the wealthier neighbourhoods of Mersin. The 65000 m2 shopping center of Forum lies at the middle of Yeni?ehir.
