The song came from Cosby's 1976 album, Bill Cosby Is Not Himself These Days. The song, which Cosby co-wrote with his longtime collaborator, Stu Gardner, spoofed Barry White's deep-voiced spoken-word sexual monologues but instead of a monologue of making love, Cosby constantly asked his wife if she took money off his pocket, destroyed the car she borrowed from him, if his checkbook was overdrawn and if she was cheating on him with a man "in his closet" wearing his pajamas. The female background vocalists constantly say "yes, yes, yes" to every one of Cosby's questions.
