High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! Yevgeniya Olegovna Kanayeva (Russian: Евгения Олеговна Канаева; born April 2, 1990 Omsk, Soviet Union) is a Russian rhythmic gymnast. She is the 2008 Olympic individual gold medalist and European Champion in the all around for Rhythmic Gymnastics. Omsk is also the hometown of 2004 Olympic silver medalist Irina Tchachina and she is training with the same coach. At the 2008 European Championships, in Torino she led the field by almost two full points, placing first in every event.
