A student of legendary violinist Roman Totenberg and famous pedagogue, Donald Weilerstein, Kutik recently performed at Ozawa Hall (Lenox, MA) where he played solo Bach to a full audience. Mr. Kutik competed in the 2006 International Violin Competition of Indianapolis where he became a key figure in a newly released film exploring the life of the competitors. Kutik's 2008 schedule includes a NYC performance of Tsontakis's Violin Concerto No. 2, as well as playing recitals across the U.S. as a keynote speaker/representative for the United Jewish Communities' (UJC) Speakers Bureau. Noted performances and awards include: a New York Times and Boston Globe acclaimed premiere of the violin concerto “Versus” by Ron Ford with the Tanglewood Music Center Orchestra, a 2006 Salon de Virtuosi Grant, 2006 Tanglewood Music Center Jules Reiner Violin Prize, appearances with the Boston Pops Orchestra under Keith Lockhart at Symphony Hall, and recitals for the Boston Symphony Association of Volunteers.
