A student of legendary violinist Roman Totenberg and famous pedagogue, Donald Weilerstein , Kutik recently performed at Ozawa Hall (Lenox, MA) where he played solo Bach to a full audience (Listen: ). Mr. Kutik competed in the 2006 International Violin Competition of Indianapolis where he became a key figure in a newly released film exploring the life of the competitors . Kutik`s 2008 schedule includes a NYC performance of Tsontakis`s Violin Concerto No. 2, as well as playing recitals across the U.S. as a keynote speaker/representative for the United Jewish Communities’ (UJC) Speakers Bureau . Noted performances and awards include: a New York Times and Boston Globe acclaimed premiere of the violin concerto “Versus” by Ron Ford with the Tanglewood Music Center Orchestra, a 2006 Salon de Virtuosi Grant , 2006 Tanglewood Music Center Jules Reiner Violin Prize, appearances with the Boston Pops Orchestra under Keith Lockhart at Symphony Hall, and recitals for the Boston Symphony Association of Volunteers.
