High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! Yo soy Boricua, pa'que tu lo sepas! a song composed in 1995 by Joel Bosch aka Taino released in various albums [Con Mi Corona, Numero Uno, Power Mix Latino]. Yo soy Boricua pa que tu lo sepas, became the anthem of Puerto Ricans around the world. To date, the song still identifies itself as the social statement of proud Puerto Ricans. It is constantly sang at major events such as political events, world championship boxing matches, featuring Puerto Rican boxers like Felix "Tito" Trinidad, Miguel Cotto and Juan Manuel "Juanma" Lopez. It is also the official rally anthem of Puerto Ricans at the Puerto Rican day parade in NY and many other Puerto Rican parades and cultural events around the world. The song was used as inspiration for a 2006 documentary by Rosie Perez. It chronicles the history of Puerto Rico, from pre-Columbian times to the present, and traces the 20th century migration of Puerto Ricans to New York City.
