Among his students were Jazz, the disgraced CyberNinja-turned-bounty hunter Lockdown, and Prowl. According to show designer Derrick Wyatt Yoketron turned into a Cybertronian race car. Yoketron's name is a tribue to Takara lead designer Hideaki Yoke. Yoketron appears in the Transformers: Animated episode "Five Servos of Doom" during a flashback of Prowl's training during the Great War. Yoketron took the young Prowl under his servo when Prowl was arrested for draft dodging by Warpath. Yoketron took to training Prowl as a cyber ninja. When Prowl was on an optics quest, Yoketron's dojo was attacked and ridden of the protoforms it had. In the process, Yoketron's helmet was stolen by the bounty hunter Lockdown, who was also a student under him. When Prowl returned, Yoketron lay gravely wounded in the protoform chamber. Prowl tried to revive Yoketron by putting his spark into a left-behind protoform. This failed as Yoketron refused to sacrifice a protoform to save himself, and he went offline.
