Yordan Hadzhikonstantinov, called Dzhinot (the Genie) (Bulgarian: Йордан Хаджиконстантинов-Джинот, Serbian: Iордан Хаџи Констандинов-Џинот, c. 1818 - 22 August 1882), was a Bulgarian teacher, publicist and an important figure of the Bulgarian National Revival during 19-th century. Yordan Hadzhikonstantinov devoted all his life to the cause of secular public education, and he actively promoted the idea of enforcement of spoken Bulgarian language in the schools and applying of modern pedagogical practices.
