High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! Jorge Gonzalez Diaz, aka Yordi (born September 14, 1974 in San Fernando, Cadiz), is a retired Spanish footballer, who played as a striker. A journeyman, Yordi represented started his career with Sevilla FC, moving in 1996 to Atletico Madrid (although he spent the vast majority of his first and only season with the B team, winning the Pichichi award in division two), only collecting two first-team appearances, one in the UEFA Champions League. In the 1997 summer, he signed with Real Zaragoza where he stayed for seven seasons, one in the second level, being a very important offensive contributor, although almost off the bench: for instance, in the 2000–01 season, as the Aragonese won the domestic cup, he only started in ten of 31 league matches, scoring four times for a final 17th position – barely out of the relegation zone.
