Yours to Keep, the debut solo album by The Strokes guitarist Albert Hammond Jr, was released October 9, 2006 in the UK through Rough Trade Records and was released in North America on March 6, 2007 through New Line Records/Scratchie Records. The album also featured help from Sean Lennon, with whom Albert had attended school at Institut Le Rosey. Albert Hammond, Jr. (born April 9, 1980) is an American musician and member of the garage rock band The Strokes in which he mostly plays rhythm guitar and occasional lead. He is also a solo musician. He released his debut album Yours To Keep in 2006 and followed up with Como Te Llama? in 2008. The Beach Boys, Buddy Holly, Frank Black, Guided By Voices, John Lennon, Matthew Sweet, Television and The Velvet Underground are often cited as his major influences.
