High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! Yu Nan (born September 5, 1978) is a Chinese actress. Born in Dalian, Yu Nan studied at the Beijing Film Academy, where she graduated in 1999. Her feature debut, in Lunar Eclipse (1999) started her career working with several of China's Sixth-Generation film directors. She has since appeared in three more movies by director Wang Quan'an: Jingzhe, which earned her the Golden Rooster Awards for the Best Actress, and the prize of the Paris International Film Festival in 2003; Tuya's Marriage (2006), which won the Berlin International Film Festival's Golden Bear award in 2007 and she won the Best Actress prize from the Chicago International Film Festival; and in 2009's The Weaving Girl, which won Jury Special Grand prix and the FIPRESCI prize from the Montreal World Film Festival the same year. Wang and Yu also had a ten year romantic relationship together which ended in 2009.
