High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! Yujacha or yuja cha or citron tea is a Korean traditional tea made from thinly sliced yuja with its peel and combined with honey or sugar. A tablespoon of yucheong stirred into a cup of usually hot water makes a beverage. The color is yellow and its form looks like marmalade. The yuja fruit itself is flavorful while it has a sour and bitter taste at the same time, so Korean people make it preserved and sweetened for making tea. Yujacha can either be made at home or purchased in glass jars. Yujacha is used as a herbal remedy for the common cold and similar winter illnesses. The yuzu is a citrus fruit and plant originating in East Asia. It is believed to be a hybrid of sour mandarin and Ichang papeda. The fruit looks a bit like a very small grapefruit with an uneven skin, and can be either yellow or green depending on the degree of ripeness. Yuzu fruits, which are very aromatic, typically range between 5.5 and 7.5 cm in diameter, but can be as large as a grapefruit (up to 10 cm or larger).
