Growing up as an only child in a family of artists, Yuliya was surrounded by love and creative atmosphere. She absorbed much of the skills in drawing from her uncle who is a famous painter, and who has ever been influencing her works. However the key person playing the biggest part in her development as a designer, who put her on this path and gave a dream, was her Grandmother. She was one of the best tailors in Kiev, the capital of Ukraine. This was the source of Yuliya’s knowledge in pattern cutting, combination of fabrics, tailoring techniques and her house has always been full of clients teaching her an individual approach to each one. As a child Yuliya saw one of the Givenchy’s fashion shows that impressed her so much that she started dreaming about her own.
