She made her debut in 1996, winning the Shogakukan new artist award grand prize. She wrote and illustrated Magical Pokemon Journey (1997–2003), which was published in Japan by Shogakukan, in North America by Viz Media, and in France by Glenat, as well as the spinoff series, Pocket Monsters Chamo-Chamo. She grew up in Saitama, Japan. Some of her favorite Pokemon include Arbok and Sandslash. Her birthday is January 5. In the first volume of Magical Pokemon Journey she claims Arbok is fun to draw.
