She made her debut in 1996, winning the Shogakukan new artist award grand prize. She wrote and illustrated Magical Pokemon Journey (1997–2003), which was published in Japan by Shogakukan, in North America by Viz Media, and in France by Glenat, as well as the spinoff series, Pocket Monsters Chamo-Chamo. She grew up in Saitama, Japan. Some of her favorite Pokemon include Arbok and Sandslash. Her birthday is January 5. In the first volume of Magical Pokemon Journey she claims Arbok is fun to draw. She claims to talk in a squeeky Clefairy voice while drawing. In bonus cahpters of Magical Pokemon Journey she dresses herself up in a Pikachu costume. She likes to watch horse racing. Her blood type is O positive. While doing Magical Pokemon Journey she was playing Pokemon Green version.
