Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Yuri Wichniakov is a Russian Basso Profondo singer known for his powerful lower register, and resonant low notes. He is the featured bass on the CD Basso Profondo From Old Russia. In the many songs on that CD, Wichniakov is regularly heard singing the bottom G on the piano. Several of the choir directors he has performed with have compared the timbre of his voice to that of an organ. Wichniakov does most of his singing as part of the Russian Orthodox Male choir. The Orthodox Male choir is known worldwide for their musical repertoire which highlights the Profondo singer. Together with Vladimir Miller and Vladimir Pasuikov, he is widely regarded as one of the most prominent Basso Profondo singers in the world. He can be heard chanting with Vladimir Miller in several concerts dating back to 2005.
