Women on Waves (WoW) is a Dutch pro-choice non-profit organization created in 1999 by Dutch physician Rebecca Gomperts, in order to bring reproductive health services, particularly non-surgical abortion services, to women in countries with restrictive abortion laws. Other services offered by WoW include contraception and reproductive counseling. Services are provided on a commissioned ship that contains a specially constructed mobile clinic. When WoW visits a country, women make appointments, and are taken on board the ship. The ship then sails out to international waters (where Dutch laws are in effect on board the ship) to perform the medical abortions.

Murray replaced Brian Burke midseason on November 12, 2008. A former NHL defenceman, Murray played in the NHL from 1975 to 1990 with the Chicago Blackhawks, known as the "Black Hawks" for most of his career. He was playing for the Cornwall Royals of the QMJHL from 1971–74 (where he won a Memorial Cup) when the Black Hawks drafted him 52nd overall in 1974.

Hunters ventured into West Virginia`s mountain valleys making temporary camp villages since the Archaic period in the Americas. Many ancient human-made earthen mounds from various mound builder cultures survive, especially in the areas of Moundsville, South Charleston, and Romney. The artifacts uncovered in these give evidence of a village society having a tribal trade system culture that practiced limited cold worked copper. As of 2009, over 12,500 archaeological sites have been documented in Virginia.
