She won the Soviet title in the women`s marathon in 1985.

Humphrey Metrodome in Minneapolis, Minnesota in late October. This year`s Championship will be on October 23rd, 2010. Participating are the top-ranked high school marching bands from Minnesota, as well as participants from Illinois, Wisconsin, Iowa, South Dakota and Nebraska. Due to the timing of the event, at the end of the field show season, it is considered to determine the Minnesota State Champion band. The program was begun in 2005 by Eden Prairie`s Brent Turner, a former Corps Director of the Minnesota Brass Drum and Bugle Corps.

Those familiar with his contributions to coaching regard him as the inventor of the full court press. Patriarch of the notorious Duax family of the same city, he is the father to eleven, grandfather to at least forty, and great grandfather to countless many. He served two terms as mayor of the City of Davenport after completion of his teaching and coaching career. He died on December, 17, 1997. His lovely wife Betty, ten children, children`s spouses, and many other family members survived him.
