State Route 186 (SR-186) is a state highway in the U.S. state of Utah connecting Beck Street (US-89) in the northern outskirts of Salt Lake City to Salt Lake City`s east bench and the interchange of I-80 and I-215 at the mouth of Parleys Canyon. With the entirety of the highway set in the boundaries of Salt Lake City, its downtown, and its eastern periphery, the roadway runs 9.34 miles (15.03 km) primarily along State Street, 400 South, 500 South, and Foothill Drive, among other more minor roadways. The road varies from a two-lane highway north of the Utah State Capitol to a six-lane urban artery in and east of downtown.
