NAIA Women`s Basketball Championships

It was established one year before the NCAA Women`s Basketball tournament. It was created to crown a women`s national title for smaller colleges and universities. Since 1992, the NAIA has sponsored a women`s division II championship tournament. Also the entire tournament is played in one city (Frankfort, Kentucky DI, and Sioux City, Iowa DII). Contracts for Frankfort will expire after 2014, and for Sioux City after 2012, pending renewal or selection of a new host city.
